It’s a new month! I’ve been making progress on lots of things: stories, personal goals, and new habits. Just keeping my head on straight in this heat. #StayHydrated
In my latest blog post I asked for reader questions. You can submit them in the comments of the blog, below, or on any of my social media posts. Today’s question is from a bluesky follower Kumiko:
Q: Did you like reading when you were young? If so, what kind of books did you read?
A: Yes! I loved to read as a kid. It was like stepping into another world and super convenient when there were no other kids to play with. I loved reading words. I would read the dictionary, the encyclopedia, anything I could get my hands on. There were some Danielle Steele novels in my mom’s nightstand that I definitely should not have read, but I did. The word ‘burgeoning’ is forever branded in my brain. LOL! Books that I’ll never forget reading: Onion John byJoseph Krumgold and the Ramona Quimby books by Beverly Cleary. Those were some excellent young reader books that made me curious to want to read more.
Tuesday Teaser: Here is a snippet from my werewolf novella
“Is there a possibility that I saw a…” Kallixta stopped and covered her mouth. She was starting to think she really did need a head CT. Was she really about to say werewolf out loud?
“Anything is possible. The things I’ve seen. The things I’ve touched.” A slow, wide grin spread across Sato’s face lifting his cheek up high towards his eyes. He turned his head toward Kallixta still grinning. “Best lover I ever had was a ghost.”
“Well, I definitely didn’t see a ghost. I saw…I think I saw a…werewolf.”
If werewolves aren't your thing, but vampires are, check out my serial novel, Darker The Berry on patreon. The latest chapter is up now and things are getting weird.
